Sightseeing- Sweden

We had looked forward to our trip to the World Dog Show since booking our tickets back in January. This year, for the third time, it was to be held in Stockholm, Sweden and had an entry of over 20,000 dogs. We once again had a relaxing trip to our destination enjoying the unparalleled Business class service of Lufthansa and arrived in Stockholm shortly after lunch. We were unsure of our hotel choice as it was an online booking but were delighted when we arrived at the Crystal Palace to find we had been upgraded for our length of stay and had wonderful room with a balcony overlooking the city. Once we unpacked, we headed out to explore our surroundings.
Stockholm is a very historical city with most buildings dating well back into the 1700’s but all are very well maintained and the city is very clean. We perused up and down many of the streets in our area before feeling jet lag start to set in and we headed back to our hotel for a nap. Afterwards, feeling well rested, we once headed out again into the dusk to find a place for supper and were surprised to discover it was 11:00pm. We had forgotten about the Midsummer Nights and the evening would not progress any darker than it already was. We had supper at one of the many, many places to eat. All had crowded outdoor seating and a varied menu. We spotted several of the local dishes, namely reindeer and bleak roe and decided through our trip, we would sample them all.
